Marissa Michaels

M.A., Instructor and Instructional Designer

Marissa is a passionate educator-researcher who has taught a multitude of student demographics in and out of academia.  Marissa has taught in higher education institutions such as the City University of Seattle, the University of Denver English Language Center, Highline College, and Ashford University.

Marissa models life-long learning through her participation in ongoing courses and training on topics such as: gender and disability, intercultural competence, practicum in language and theory, and second language writing.

Marissa has a B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in English, a TESOL Certificate from the University of Colorado Denver, and an M.A. from the University of Colorado Denver in Rhetoric and the Teaching of Writing.
